OUR MISSION
- The Philadelphia Masjid is not only a place for worship it is also an "Education Center" for the surrounding communities. Our school is dedicated to the education of religious and secular perspectives. We follow the Guidance of the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAWAS). So that we excel as individuals and more importantly as an Ummah (Community)!
OUR HISTORY
- The Philadelphia Masjid has been located in West Philadelphia since 1975. At that time it was called Sister Clara Muhammad School which evolved from the University of Islam established in the 1930's, under the leadership of the late Elijah Muhammad and later his son Imam Warith Deen Mohammad who assumed the leadership of his father in 1975.

- Total renovation of the Mussallá Prayer Hall, "New Rug" on entire Mussallá floor, reconstructed "Entrance Area" for sisters and brothers. "New Lighting" and Freshly Painted Walls and Ceiling.

- All work performed by "Volunteer Muslim workers as well as paid venders. Supervised by Philadelphia Masjid Board of Managers, and professional skilled laborers. All works was performed during the 2019 Covid 19 Pandemic.

EDUCATION AND CLASSES
OUR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION
At The Philadelphia Masjid (Sister Clara Muhammad School) our main focus is to prepare our children for the future, with math and science as well as fundamental Islamic studies. Senior education programs and Adult Literacy will also be our priority. These are achievable goals. With the help of ALLAH alone we will succeed.

ISLAMIC EDUCATION CLASSES
The Holy Qur'an was provided for guidance to all of "Humanity", and the life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings upon Him) as the clear example for human conduct no matter the circumstance one is confronted. Sunday morning classes with Imam's and qualified instructors will assist in Arabic language studies, as well as Prayer Recitation classes. will be on going throughout the year. If it pleases Allah!

- The Philadelphia Masjid New logo was created to emulate the two ceiling medallion motifs found on the Mussallá ceiling. These medallions were installed when the original building was designed and constructed in 1936.
- The Medallions speak to the principals of balance and symmetry found in Islamic Art.
- Today, we thank Allah (swt) for our new and improved space. There is more to come, keep checking back, insha'Allah!
